University of Guelph graduate student Laura Paret has received a 2012 War Memorial PhD scholarship worth $15,000 from IODE Canada.

She is pursuing a doctorate in child clinical psychology, focusing on the importance of parent-child interaction and its effect on emotional well-being and development. Paret completed a B.Sc. in psychology at Queen’s University and received a master’s degree from U of G in 2009.

Founded in 1900, IODE Canada is a national charitable women’s organization dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for individuals through education support, community service and citizenship programs.
