The winners of three major incentive prizes were selected at the U of G United Way volunteer appreciation event Dec. 7. The names of all University donors who completed a pledge form were included in the draw.

Carole Shirley, Co-operative Education and Career Services, won a one-year parking pass donated by U of G Parking Services.

A $500 gift certificate to Stone Road Mall went to Andrew Kramer, also Co-operative Education and Career Services.

Tammy Oakley, Family Relations and Applied Nutrition, won a $500 RRSP donated by TD Canada Trust.  Branch manager Mark Kelland and commercial banking relationship manager Jack Watson were on hand to make the draw.

U of G co-chairs Prof. Alan Sullivan, Plant Agriculture, and Genevieve Gundy, secretariat officer and information and privacy co-ordinator for the University, thanked all three donors, acknowledging that the prestigious prizes encourage giving by members of the University community. Sullivan says: “Your generous donation of these prizes to the University campaign helped our canvassers to raise this year’s total of $551,214.”
