Graduate student Shane Neilson received a silver award in ForeWord Magazine’s Book of the Year Awards. He was honoured in the poetry category for his work Complete Physical.

Neilson is in his first year of U of G’s MFA creative writing program.

The awards were established to bring increased attention to the achievements of independent publishers and their authors. Neilson received his award during the American Library Association Conference in New Orleans.
