University of Guelph-Humber business students won first place in the annual Royal Roads Case Competition held in Victoria, B.C. at the end of March. Hailey Zysman, Bradley Watson, Umair Kahn, Mihaela Pal and Stephanie Comeau bested 15 other teams from Canadian and U.S. universities.

The team was supervised by Prof. John Riccio.

“The competition this year couldn’t have gone better,” said Zysman who also competed on last year’s team. “We developed a unique style to start the presentations off with a bang and carried the judges’ interest with content applying the terms and concepts we’ve learned throughout our years at the University of Guelph-Humber.”

Held annually, the case competition is a non-profit event organized by the Royal Roads Faculty of Management – School of Business. At the 2011 event, the University of Prince Edward Island placed third, the University of British Colombia second.
