Two new students have been elected to serve on the University’s Board of Governors, and one student member has been reappointed.

Guillaume Blais, a fourth-year student in the bachelor of science program studying biomedical science and political science, has been reappointed as an undergraduate member. He also serves on the University Senate, co-chairs the Student Senate Caucus and plays several campus sports.

Martin Straathof, a fourth-year student in the bachelor of arts program, will hold the other undergraduate seat. He has served two years as president of the College of Social and Applied Human Sciences student government and as a BA student senator.

The graduate student representative on Board of Governors is Jordan Willcox, a PhD student in biomedical science. He has been involved in the College of Biological Science student government and served on the U of G Senate, where he was a member of the Student Senate Caucus and the Priorities and Planning subcommittee.
