The Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food, and Rural Affairs (OMAFRA) has received the  2011 Employer of Distinction award from the Guelph and District Human Resources Professionals Association. OMAFRA was nominated for the award by U of G’s Co-operative Education and Career Services.

Among other things, OMAFRA was commended for its outstanding collaboration with U of G, including focusing on students and providing professional development through co-operative education programs. The award was presented Jan. 20.
