The Department of Alumni Affairs and Development and the Department of Athletics have won several awards in the annual CASE District II Accolades Awards program. The awards will be presented Feb. 7 at the District II annual conference in Baltimore.

U of G received a gold award in the category “Alumni Relations Programming” for Hockey Day in Gryphonville, an annual event honouring former varsity hockey players. The 2009 Impact of Giving Report received a bronze award in the category “Institutional Report,” and a pamphlet called “Legacy Matters” that outlines planned giving options for Guelph alumni received a bronze award for its cover image and an honourable mention for content and overall design.

District II is a regional organization affiliated with CASE International (Council for Advancement and Support of Education), a professional association serving educational institutions and advancement professionals in alumni relations, communications, development, marketing and allied areas. Included in the district are institutions in Ontario, Delaware, District of Columbia, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Puerto Rico, West Virginia and U.S. Virgin Islands.
