Paul Finlay, a PhD student in Physics and recipient of U of G’s Brock Doctoral Scholarship, was recognized for the best graduate student presentation at the International Nuclear Physics Conference in Vancouver in early July. Master’s student Evan Rand won second place in the graduate student poster competition. Both belong to the nuclear physics research group of Prof. Carl Svensson. About 800 international delegates attend the event, the largest research conference of its kind in the world held every three years.
