U of G student Monique Miller was one of 100 young Canadians who represented their regions at the National Youth Ambassador Caucus in Ottawa this week. The third-year international development student addressed issues such as maternal health, food security and nuclear proliferation.

Miller is also a bachelor of arts undergraduate senator on the University of Guelph Senate. She has studied in France and Guatemala and currently works with the World University Service of Canada’s student refugee program, which provides the opportunity for scholarship and resettlement in Canada.

The National Youth Ambassador Caucus was hosted in conjunction with the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade and the Federal Economic Development for Southern Ontario.
