Naidoo-Harris: “As we navigate through the incredible challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic crisis, it’s important for all of us to find ways to work together and foster a sense of belonging in community.

You know, this crisis is forcing us to physically distance and isolate, so we must remember those in our community who may face stigma and be disadvantaged
during these times.

Fostering a Sense of Belonging in Times of Crisis and Challenge is a guide to being good friends and neighbors to those needing support and to treat each other fairly
and with respect.

The pressures and strains placed on all of us now means we have to be sensitive to how we treat each other, especially those feeling marginalized or forgotten in our society.

And so it gives tips on how to support those with mental health issues, disabilities, financial pressures and sexual or domestic violence when they’re feeling isolated and alone.

This handbook is a reminder that we’re all in thisĀ  together as we navigate through the difficult realities of COVID-19 and social distancing.”
