Ready to Return checklist

It’s been a long pandemic, and we’re all getting used to the “new normal,” including returning to work on-site. As you get ready to return, make sure you have checked the following off your to-do list.

Other useful information

A few things have changed since you were last on-site. The following may help as you prepare for your first day back.

  • Masks: You must wear a mask in all University buildings. If for medical reasons you can’t wear a mask, contact Occupational Health and Wellness (ohw@uoguelph.ca).
  • Cleaning measures: Learn more about cleaning measures and responsibilities for your workspace.
  • Furniture and equipment: You may need to bring University equipment or furniture back to your workspace. For help moving large or heavy items, email wo@pr.uoguelph.ca to create a work order. Include a phone number at which you can be reached.
  • Setting up your technology: If you need assistance setting up your computer or phone, contact the IT Help Desk.
  • Parking: Lot designations and parking rates have changed since 2020. Depending on your schedule, you may find the discounted day-use parking permits more affordable.
  • Dining: On-campus dining outlets are open. You may remove your mask when eating or drinking but must put it back on as soon as you’re done. If you are dining at Brass Taps, the Lookout (grad lounge) or the Bullring, you will be required to show proof of vaccination.
  • Meeting in-person: In-person meetings are allowed provided organizers follow posted room capacity limits.
  • Cashless campus: U of G is now a cashless campus. Plan to pay for on-campus purchases by debit, credit or Campus Card.
