Orbax, a lecturer in the Department of Physics, discussed the upcoming “blood flower moon” lunar eclipse with several national media outlets. 

He explained to the Toronto Star that this month’s eclipse is “a rare opportunity” to view it within a reasonable time period and provided tips on how to watch it.  

To CBC Saskatchewan, Orbax explained the reasoning behind the name “blood moon.”   

Speaking to CBC Kitchener-Waterloo, Orbax commented the lunar eclipse is a “great opportunity” to learn about outer space. 

Orbax also recently discussed the eclipse with Global News, CHCH’s Morning Live, and GuelphToday.  

He is the co-founder of Royal City Science, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) education, and one-half of Orbax and Pepper Do Science, an educational science-based platform.
