Nuclear physicist Dr. Dennis Mücher highlighted the importance of isomers and their scientific benefits and uses in a commentary for The Conversation Canada, which also appeared in Yahoo!News, Inverse, IFLScience and more.    

After explaining the history of nuclear isomers, Mücher commented on the role isomers currently play in the fields of medicine and astronomy, before speculating on their future uses.  

A professor in the Department of Physics, Mücher researches the nuclear shell evolution, fission barriers, and applications for improved dose and range verification in hadron therapy.
