SUMMARY:Awakening the Body’s Wisdom for Complete Health and Well-Being - Dr. Jivasu\, MD
DESCRIPTION:Join the U of G Wellness@Work sponsored Workshop on Thursday\, January 18\, 2024\, from 10:30 A.M.-1:00 P.M. at Fireplace Lounge\, Mills Hall (opposite Creelman Hall/behind War Memorial Hall)\, U of Guelph. \nMany factors can result in us feeling disconnected from our body and the life flowing through it. This can lead to physical and mental health problems and a lack of fulfilment\, affecting our well-being. \nIn this workshop participants will learn why we are disconnected from the body and how to reconnect and awaken our body’s wisdom to heal supporting our health and well-being. Emerging insights on neurobiological mechanisms underlying recovery will also be discussed. There will be a period for Q&A\, feedback\, and a quick summary of potential future programs and the methods for follow-up. Bring your own yoga mat. Wood Centre. She will be sharing some tips on what businesses should consider before scaling up their operations\nDerek Vella from the Guelph Food Innovation Centre. He’ll be sharing how the Guelph Food Innovation Centre helps businesses with product development so that they can be sold in the retail market.\n\nPlus we have special guests\, Jared Ferrall and Khalil Khamis from Crafty Ramen who will share how they grew their business and transformed their restaurant ramen into their delicious frozen “heat and eat” products sold across the country! \nTune into the event online or join us in-person at the Anita Stewart Memorial Food Lab on January 18. DESCRIPTION:Join us on Thursday\, Jan. 18\, at 6:30 p.m.\, for the launch of the Art Gallery of Guelph’s brand new winter season and three exhibitions spotlighting art practices that reconsider and reconceive notions of history and genealogy\, place and landscape. Opening that evening are: \n\nᑕᐅᑐᑉᐹ Tautuppaa | Long Looking\, curated by Taqralik Partridge and featuring the work of late Inuit artist Tim Pitsiulak\nThe Unsettlements: Moms\, an installation by Houston-based artist and writer JD Pluecker\nAn Experience of Nature\, highlighting landscapes from the AGG’s permanent collection\, curated by Sally Frater with assistance of from Amira Radwan and Brent Garbett.\n\nArtists and curators will be in attendance. \nAll are welcome! Enjoy refreshments and introductions to the exhibitions.
