DESCRIPTION:The following is shared on behalf of Anita Stewart’s family. \nCelebration of Life for Anita Stewart\, C.M.\, B.A.\, M.A.\, L.L.D. \nBorn July 2\, 1947 – passed October 29\, 2020. \nSaturday September 24th\, 2022\n1:00 pm – 3:00 pm\nElora Centre for the Arts\n75 Melville St\, Elora\, Ontario\, N0B1S0 \nhttps://anitastewart.love/ \nIt’s a time to celebrate the life\, love and joy that Anita Stewart brought to us all. As the University of Guelph’s Food Laureate\, she was the first person in the world to hold such a title as an advocate\, leader and promoter of food initiatives. The Anita Stewart Alumni Food Lab at the University of Guelph has been recently named in her honour. \nAnita was a beloved daughter\, mother\, grandmother\, mentor and friend to many. Throughout Anita’s career\, she received the Order of Canada\, a long list of awards\, and an honorary doctorate. Anita’s spirit drove her to great professional heights\, and her generosity\, kindness\, warmth and strength of character will be forever remembered by everyone. \nWe invite you to join family\, friends and community in a celebration of life for Anita. Wear your favourite purple apparel and join our family to celebrate this fabulous\, strong woman who touched us all. Refreshments and light snacks will be served. Bring your fond memories of Anita to share and connect with us all. This is a rain or shine outdoor event. Please bring your own lawn chair or picnic blanket.
