DESCRIPTION:Join us on Saturday\, Sept. 19\, 2026 at 9 a.m. at the beautiful University of Guelph Arboretum for the Harvest TrailMixer — a welcoming community run and walk in support of mental health. \nWhether you’re a runner\, a walker\, bringing the family or simply looking for a meaningful way to get outside and connect with your community\, there’s a place for you. Choose from 2.5K\, 5K or 10K run/walk routes\, plus a 1K Kids Fun Run for our youngest participants. No racing experience required — come as you are and move at your pace. \nTogether\, we’re aiming to raise $25\,000 to support Up and Running Guelph’s accessible walking and running programs. DESCRIPTION:This full-day program helps participants refine their skills to identify trees in Ontario. The focus of the workshop is on learning the important identification characteristics of difficult tree groups such as the cherry\, oak and walnut families as well as the easier groups such as ash and maple. The afternoon is spent outside identifying trees in the forest as well as young cultivated trees with their Eurasian counterparts in the World of Trees collection. Participants are encouraged to bring their field guides and binoculars. Each registrant that attends the workshop will receive a copy of our Tree Leaves Biodiversity Sheet. \nFee: $94.00 (plus HST) per person if you register by the early bird deadline of September 11. If you register after September 11 the fee is $104 (plus HST).

DESCRIPTION:On Saturday\, September 19 at 11 a.m.\, join us for a guided tour of the AGG Sculpture Park\, led by Judith Nasby\, founding Director of the Macdonald Stewart Art Centre. \nThe Donald Forster Sculpture Park is one of the most diverse and dynamic outdoor sculpture collections in Canada. Situated on a 2.5-acre site adjacent to the Art Gallery of Guelph\, the park features 41 installations by prominent Canadian and international artists\, offering visitors a unique opportunity to experience art in a natural setting. \nDrawing on her extensive experience and deep connection to the gallery\, Nasby will guide attendees through the early history and development of Guelph’s public gallery and sculpture park. Her tour will bring to life the stories\, challenges\, and vision that shaped these cultural spaces\, as explored in her publications The Making of a Museum and Kivioq’s Journey.
