SUMMARY:Owl Prowl
DESCRIPTION:Join us for an Owl Prowl that brings together the expertise of Wild Ontario and The Arboretum Naturalists for an educational evening feature these incredible birds. \nThe first hour of the program is led by Wild Ontario\, featuring an engaging presentation on the lives of Ontario’s owls\, their remarkable adaptations\, and the ecological roles they play. Participants will also have the opportunity to meet owl ambassadors up close and learn their individual stories. \nIn the second hour\, Arboretum Naturalists will take participants on a guided walk through The Arboretum’s trails. While we can guarantee an atmospheric nighttime stroll through the forest\, our main goal will be to try to encounter a wild owl ourselves. Owls frequent The Arboretum regularly\, and this walk is a wonderful opportunity to learn what to listen and look for\, which are skills you can employ to search for owls in your own neighbourhood! \nThe Adults only program is for adults and teens aged 14+. The Families program is open to everyone\, however children must be accompanied by an adult. *Maximum 25 people. \nSaturday\, Jan. 24\, 2026 (FAMILIES)\, OR Friday\, Feb. 6\, 2026 (FAMILIES)\, OR Saturday\, Feb. 7\, 2026 (ADULTS ONLY) \, 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. \nFee: $16 (plus HST) per person\, per session (evening).
