DESCRIPTION:Since 1999\, Chris Earley has traveled the world as a nature tour leader for Worldwide Quest. Each of his six talks focus on a different continent and showcase the amazing life that is found there. You’ll meet wildlife you know such as whales\, leopards and penguins\, and wildlife you may not know\, such as lorises\, mobulas\, silvereyes and geladas. Join Chris and his enthusiasm for these informative and entertaining forays into the nature of our planet. \nWednesdays and Fridays\, January 4\, 6\, 11\, 13\, 18 and 20\, 2023\nNoon – 1 PM \nFee: $10 (plus HST) per person\, per session or book all six at once and pay $55 ($5 off the series).

SUMMARY:Owl Prowl (In-Person)
DESCRIPTION:Discover how to use your eyes and ears to identify Ontario’s Owls. Through a wide variety of hands-on activities participants will learn about owl plumage\, calls and behaviour\, habitat requirements\, migration patterns\, and owl folklore. We’ll end the evening with an outdoor owl prowl on The Arboretum grounds. \nThe Adults only program is for adults and teens aged 14+. The Families program is open to everyone\, however children must be accompanied by an adult. Friday\, January 13 (ADULTS ONLY) OR Saturday\, January 14\, 2023 (FAMILIES) 6:00 – 8:00 PM. $14.00 per Registrant. \nPlease register at least one week in advance so we can be sure we have enough registrants to run the program: https://arboretum.uoguelph.ca/educationandevents/workshops
