DESCRIPTION:Join Campus Parking Services on Jan. 20  from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the University Centre Courtyard to share your thoughts about parking services on campus. \nStaff from Campus Parking Services will be on hand to learn more about how people arrive to campus each day\, where they come from and their thoughts on the future of parking at U of G. Have your say and help us better understand how people commute to campus. \nAfter the open forum\, join Campus Parking Services staff in Peter Clark Hall from 1 to 3 p.m. for a Town Hall discussion. The Town Hall will provide an opportunity for questions and discussion on parking services. \nIf you are unable to attend the events on Jan. 20\, there will still be an opportunity for input through an online survey. The survey is available to all faculty\, staff and students from Jan. 20 to Feb. 1.  We encourage everyone to participate\, especially current users of campus parking services. \nA summary of all comments and ideas will be posted on the Campus Parking Services website.

DESCRIPTION:Interested in using Python but don’t know where to start? Join us for a hands-on\, two-part workshop for folks with little experience programming. We will cover the basics of working with data in Python. We’ll cover reading-in data from an external source followed by some simple manipulation and analysis using the built-in capabilities that are provided by base Python language and the pandas library. \nPlease bring a laptop with for your own use during the workshop. The laptop will need to have the following software installed: \n\nAnaconda – Python 3.7 version\nPyCharm – Community Edition\n\nPlease note: All software installation must be done before the workshop. Please follow any account creation or software installation instructions. Out of courtesy to the class\, we will not be able to troubleshoot software set-up during class time.
