DESCRIPTION:Network data is all around us\, but it takes a keen eye to see the hidden structure and patterns in the data. By visualizing network data we can expose this hidden information and study it. In this introductory workshop\, you’ll learn to use Gephi to create visualizations and learn more about the structure of the network. \nAttendees must bring a laptop for their own use during the workshop with the latest version of Gephi installed. \nPlease note: All software installation must be done before the workshop\, please ensure that you followed any account creation or software installation instructions. The purpose of this workshop is to introduce students to the software as well as its different functions and commands.\nThe basics of statistical analysis and interpretation using SPSS will be covered\, in addition to topics like data entry\, manipulation and interpretation. \nThis is an introductory workshop intended for students with minimal to no knowledge of SPSS. Basic knowledge and understanding of statistics would be a great asset. \nThis workshop is offered in two parts. If you would like to build on the skills from this workshop\, attend the afternoon session as well! \nPlease bring a laptop for your own use during the workshop with SPSS installed on it. The latest version of SPSS can be downloaded for free from the CCS Software Distribution website. \nPlease note: All software installation must be done before the workshop\, please ensure that you followed any account creation or software installation instructions.
