SUMMARY:Stream Rehabilitation Training Program - Part 2
DESCRIPTION:  \nTrout Unlimited Canada has partnered with the University of Guelph to present a stream rehabilitation training program. \nLearn best practices of rehabilitating stream ecosystems and their associated watersheds. The workshops are designed for students\, conservation volunteers and environmental professionals that wish to learn and implement successful rehabilitation projects. This series of workshops guides students through an understanding of watershed and stream ecosystems\, assessment and monitoring\, rehabilitation planning and implementation. \nDiscounts of 50 per cent or more are available for students who register before Aug 16. \nStudents who complete all six workshops receive a certificate from Trout Unlimited Canada and the University of Guelph’s School of Environmental Design and Rural Development. Students who complete the first three workshops receive a half credit. \n

DESCRIPTION:Prof. Kim Anderson kicks off the semester’s IF… speaker series with her talk Creating Indigenous Feminist Space. \nIn this talk\, Prof. Anderson will discuss how she has been engaged in embodied place-making with Indigenous women on campuses in the Guelph and Waterloo regions. As a founding member of the Kika’ige Historical Society (with Lianne Leddy and Brittany Luby) Prof. Anderson has engaged in two performance art pieces in response to the “fathers of confederation” and Canada 150 events.
