Vaccination is one of the best ways to protect yourself, to avoid serious illness from COVID-19, and to prevent disruption of your on-campus activities. We strongly encourage everyone to stay up to date with their COVID-19 vaccination and booster doses.

The University of Guelph encourages all students, faculty and staff to indicate their vaccination status through U of G’s Vaccination Status System. Understanding our community’s vaccination status will help inform our health and safety decisions.

Thank you for helping keep our community safe!

Vaccination at U of G

Exemptions

As of May 1, individuals who are not vaccinated are not required to have an exemption from the University’s vaccination policy in order to access U of G spaces. The University retains its ability to reinstate public health requirements, if needed and with short notice.

Vaccination Requirements for Students Living in Residence

U of G paused its COVID-19 vaccination and mask requirements on May 1. The University retains its ability to reinstate public health requirements, if needed and with short notice. While vaccinations are currently not required for those living in residence, that requirement may be reinstated. If you are planning to live in residence, we strongly encourage you to get vaccinated as soon as possible and indicate your vaccination status through U of G’s Vaccination Status System. That way, you will be prepared if the University reinstates COVID-19 vaccination as a requirement to access campus.
