This two-day Writing Tune-up: Grammar series is open to graduate and undergraduate students, faculty and staff at the University of Guelph and the public. You may attend the second day without having attended the first.

This session will cover the following topics:

– Structuring sentences: a review of sentence structure and parts of speech (recognizing nouns, verbs, etc.)

– Using verbals and modifiers: a review of the use of verbals and modifiers in writing

– Punctuating sentences: a review of the rules of punctuation
