Prof. Alexa Bersenas, Clinical Studies, spoke on CBC Radio’s Quirks & Quarks May 6. She answered a listener’s question about whether cats may drink salt water for an extended period without suffering from dehydration. Bersenas is chief of the Emergency and Critical Care Service in the Ontario Veterinary College Companion Animal Hospital.  She studies feline medicine, and respiratory failure in dogs and cats.
